Nature of request
Feld, Spicer, Cressewyk and Skelton request that they are granted a writ under the great seal directed to the barons of the Exchequer to discharge them and make them quit and also for the sheriffs of Essex of the farm of 4 marks and the arrears of the same for land and tenements in Chigwell which Corleshay originally granted to King Edward III, and which the king subsequently granted to Walton for the farm during pleasure, and then subsequently to Gaunt and to other honourable peers who granted the same to the petitioners. Process is made by summons of the Exchequer for the farm and arrears.

The petition is dated to c. 1390-c. 1399 as it refers to John of Gaunt as duke of Guyenne, and this could not have been before 1390 when he was so created by Richard II.
