Nature of request
The Prior of Spalding requests remedy as John Wake enfeoffed the king with the manor of Deeping and received it back jointly with his wife by charter, but Wyckewane maliciously returned the writ directed to him to give seisin to the Wakes, and Wake enclosed by banks the Prior's march neighbouring Spalding, Pinchbeck, Langtoft, Baston and Deeping and the people of the country threw these down, and now the Prior and the people are impleaded at the suit of the king before the justices of the Bench.

The king wishes that all that was occupied when the king had seisin should be returned and put back in the state that they were before.
