The petitioner's father died seised of t land in Kidlington and after his death the meadow was wrongly adjudged to Matilda Croxford. This was eventually put right and the land taken into the king's hand, and the petitioner had done homage, and requests delivery of the meadow.1)

The petition is dated to c. 1290-c. 1300 as the petition refers to an action before Roger Brabazon when he was a justice of the Bench, and he served as a justice of King's Bench from 1290-1295 after which he was chief justice (Sainty, Judges of England, pp. 6, 22). The petition seems by the hand to date to the time that he was justice, or to shortly after.
