- Devereus requests the king's pity of his estate since it came about because of service to the king by the great mischief and default that he suffered in Gascony, he made covenants with Ware by which he enfeoffed him of his manors of Lyonshall, Stoke Lacy and Holme Lacy for life for which Roger granted to render to Devereus £30 per annum at the two terms for his sustenance, but after their common return to England, Devereus kept his side of the covenant, but Ware has not.
