The abbot states that he is received as abbot and does not hold anything by barony, and the chamberlain demands 100s for his fee. He requests that the chamberlain is commanded to take from him that which he ought to take by statute.

The petition is dated to c. 1300 as the petition seems to indicate that the abbot has been newly appointed, and Nicholas de Flore became abbot in 1300 and died in 1334. His predecessor had become abbot in 1270 (Heads of Religious Houses, II, pp. 436-7).
