Full description and record details

Reference
SC 8/329/E906
Date
[c. 1300-1304]
Description
Petitioners
Jahan de Fulburne.
Name(s)
de Fulburne, Jahan
Addressees
King.
Places mentioned
Gascony, [France]
Ireland.
Nature of request
Fulborne requests that the justice of Ireland or his lieutenant be commanded to execute all the writs sent to him and the other justices before whom nothing has been done as Fulburne has been unable to pursue this by service to the king in Gascony and Ireland.
Nature of endorsement
Let it be done to him whatever to him by right ought to be done.
Note
The petition is dated to c. 1300-1304 as it appears to be by the same petitioner as SC 8/329/E905 and he was dead by 1304. In addition, both this and that petition were cut from a longer list of petitions, and it is possible that this petition formed the initial petition some entries above SC 8/329/E905. The calendar of this petition by Connelly suggests a date of 'temp. Edward II', and whilst this is impossible if SC 8/329/E905 and E906 are from the same roll, if this is wrong then another individual of the same name was active in 1315 (SC 8/178/8861). If the identification of the petitioner as the same individual in all three cases is correct, then there is a misdating apparent in one or more of the petitions (cf. dating of SC 8/178/8861 and SC 8/329/E905).
