Nature of request
Ferers requests that it is commanded that he be reseised of the 10 marks of land in Stebbing which William Umfraville held from him. Umfraville died in the king's service in Gascony and Ferers entered the land as chief lord and afterwards made satisfaction to Ingram Unfraville as next heir when he was at the king's peace, and he remained in good seisin until the escheator ousted him because Umfraville was against the king's peace in Scotland.
