Nature of request
Herdeby requests remedy as he brought a writ of novel disseisin against the prior of Haverholme and others named in the writ, but the justices have repeatedly adjourned the suit from the feats of St Margaret in the 27th year, and on the last occasion the prior had nothing to say to delay judgment, and Herdeby brought a writ of Chancery commanding them to render judgment, but they to the petitioner's great damage adjourned judgment until St Margaret next to come by their will and without reason.

They should have a writ to the justices that they should proceed to judgment, and if there is any difficulty then let the record be sent coram rege etc.

The petition is dated to 1300 as the petition refers to judgment first being adjourned on the feast of St Margaret in 27 (Edw. I), and that the judgment had finally been adjourned to the feast of St Margaret which would seem to be in the following year
