Description
Petitioners
Richard de Harecurt (Harcourt), son of Saer de Harcourt.

Nature of request
Harecurt requests remedy as his father enfeoffed him of the manor of Newton Harcourt when he was within age, to hold to him and his heirs for all days, and he was peaceably seised for two years and more until his father and Kent wrongly disseised him without judgment. He brought a writ of novel disseisin against them before Hengham and his companions, but while the assize was pending, Kent, a tenant of the manor, alienated it into the queen's hand which delayed the assize, and now the queen has given the manor to the Lowes in exchange for the manors of Hampton and Lowe.
