Note (Additional information about the record)
- The petition is dated to 1283-1307 as the original grant of the abbey of Talley to the abbot and convent of Welbeck was made in 1283, and this request for a renewal seems very likely to be made within the reign of Edward I based on the hand, though no evidence has been found for the making of the renewal to more closely date it (CChR 1257-1300, p. 284).
