Nature of request
Walkynton states that he resides at his own cost, and requests that he is able to be paid at London or elsewhere where the king has great customs and exchanges, and that he can be paid from the issues of his offices. He requests that two sufficient burgess of Berwick be ordained to answer for the account to whomever the king assigns. He requests that the coket be delivered, the one foil to be delivered to the customers, and the other to Walkyngton as the clerk there does not know who to pay money except to Lumbard and others [named], as the customers assigned by the chamberlain answer all days that they have nothing. He requests remedy.

He should await the coming of the chamberlain of Scotland.
