Nature of request
Burre requests aid and remedy on the great damage and contempt done to her, and that the bodies of the malefactors responsible for it can be attached to answer to the king of the damages and contempt. Eastwood and other came and took her goods and chattels by force, and married her against her will. She escaped and brought a plea of rape before Brabazon, but dare not prosecute it as Eastwood and his companions reside in London and have procured the seizure of her lands. Her nearest family to preserve the inheritance of the heir and believing her dead have purchased a writ to have the land taken into the king's hand whereupon one Humphrey Walden, an associate of Eastwood has procured to have the lands for the extent and is wasting the lands.
