Nature of request
Michel requests that the justices hearing his assize of novel disseisin be given the power to proceed to take the assize according to the law and usage of the realm notwithstanding the minority of Theobald Russel. Michel arraigned the assize before Foxley and his companions against Pinnesham who said that he held the lands and tenements in North Cheriton by lease for his life from William Russel, and because Russel's heir was a minor and in the custody of the king the justices surceased the suit.
