Roger requests redress for the contempt and trespass done to the king and him by Refham who with a great company of mounted men and by force and arms came to Canterbury where Roger was in the king's service in the Exchange and assailed him and beat and wounded him. He is a king's minister and dare not come to London because of the menaces of Refham.
