Nature of request
The people request that the king will take pity on them for the great damage that they suffered in the time of the war and that they can have the usages and customs that they had in the time of the king's father, and that all the bad customs levied in the time of Grandisson and his bailiffs may be removed as they can scarcely live because of them. They have been unable to have remedy for the past 20 years because they only had judges of whom they complained and who were ministers of Grandisson.
