Note
The document is dated to 1310-1311 as it refers to Ferre as former seneschal of Gascony, and the letter is addressed to the earl of Richmond, and it would seem that this refers to the earl's second period as lieutenant in Aquitaine in those years, Ferre serving a second term as seneschal between August 1308 and September 1309.
