- The related petition (SC 8/327/E805) is dated to c. 1312 as Spanish merchants were given safe-conduct to come to England upon security that they do right to Normant and others, and the king to whom the letter was addressed was Ferdinand the IV who died in 1312 (CPR 1313-17, p.34).
