Nature of request
Hastinges requests that right be done to him concerning the castle of Newcastle Emlyn after the year and a day's waste, as Meredudd held the castle and died his tenant and forfeited, but the king took the same into his hand because of the forfeiture though it was rightfully Hastinges's escheat.

This was answered elsewhere in parliament that lands and tenements forfeited by war pertain to the king and not to any other.
