Nature of request
[The petition is not entirely legible].Speresholt requests that the king will make a remedy as the treasurer will not make a remedy without the commandment of the king. Speresholt had the manor of Hakeborne at farm by writ of the king until the coming of age of Richard de Windelsor son and heir of William de Windsor from the first year of the king's reign, and afterwards Windelsor proved his age before Kirkby and he had seisin [of his lands], and the petitioner had paid the farm for all the time that he had the manor and had good acquittance, but the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer continue to demand the same and the chancellor will make no remedy.
Nature of endorsement
It is granted that he should have respite until the account of the sheriff, and it is ordered to the sheriff that the demand made by summons of the Exchequer from William for the arrears of his farm of the manor be put in respite until upon the account. And in the meantime William should sue ... made homage to the king.He should come to the Exchequer ...

The petition is dated to c. 1290 as a petition by the petitioner's son on the same matter which is dated to 23 Edw. I is obviously later (E 175/1/10).
