Note
The petition is dated to c. 1274 in accordance with the guard note. The hand is not inconsistent with this date. The petition refers to the withdrawal of the allowance for fifty seven weeks, and the guard dating seems to be made on the basis that this occurred immediately after the death of Henry III in 1272.
