Nature of request
Mace states that he is about to go in the service of the king in the war of Flanders and shows that for default of money he has engaged part of his land to the Luches by a writing of covenant, that purports that if Mace rendered the money to the Luches at a day agreed between them, then the Luches should render the lands to the petitioner. Mace has often offered to pay the money on the day and afterwards, and they have refused to restore his lands to his great damage and disinheritance and requests remedy for he is wrongly held from his lands.
Nature of endorsement
If he perceives himself harmed by the Luches, he should acquire to himself by common law.
