Rydale requests that he be rewarded for his service in all the wars of the king to maintain his honour, and he requests allowance for two horses that he lost in Galloway and at Falkirk, and account for his wages which are in arrears since the time of Ralph le Cofferer and his bill is detained in the Wardrobe.

He should go to the Wardrobe and account there of his wages and losses of his horses, and he should have a bill and have satisfaction.

The petition is dated to c. 1305 on the basis of a related petition calendared in Bain that is of this date (Bain, vol. IV, no. 1818). The guard note also suggests a date of 1302, but on what basis is unclear.
