Nature of request
The men of Roxburgh request grace that the chamberlain of Scotland is ordered to pay them for the goods taken from them for the use of the king when he was last in Scotland, for which they have good tallies but cannot be answered by any man without special order of our lord the king.1)
Nature of endorsement
Among the king's debts.2) They are to send someone with tallies for the goods thus taken who is to appear in the wardrobe and sue a writ of liberate.
