Nature of endorsement
The Treasurer does not recall them pursuing their demand before him or any of his associates, the barons of the Exchequer, nor afterwards did they come when called publicly in the Exchequer. They should view the extent and the inquisition made by Stephen and Gregory and call John Tregor and William de Grandisson to certify to the treasurer and barons if in their time such a service was made.
