Freskenede requests remedy as it falsely attested by the sheriffs that they warned him to appear before the king in last Martinmas in the 20th year of the present king, to say whether he knew of anything why Byland should not have £24 from his lands and tenements for a debt of Berand for which it was alleged that he was the pledge, though he was out of the country at that time, and he has now lost the money.
