Nature of request
The abbot requests that the treasurer be commanded to try the matter of the abbot's contribution to the common amercement made in the last eyre, and according to this charge or discharge the petitioner so that the king is not the loser, and that the Treasurer not charge the abbot until the matter is determined. The abbot state that he by charter ought to be quit of the common amercement of the county before the justices in eyre, but the assessors have charged the abbot and his people and charge the liberty wrongfully against the charter.

It should be sent to the treasurer, and he should assemble the justices of both Benches, and according to their council let justice be done etc.
