Nature of request
[The writ is not entirely legible].Writ of Edward I to Goneville commanding him to pay the arrears of the fifteenth from his Welsh lands without delay.
Nature of endorsement
Goneville for himself and his men in his land of Wales at no time granted a fifteenth of their goods to the lord king, nor ever was required to do so, and was in Ireland when the ward of the land aforesaid was [? made], nor came into England until the feast of Easter in the third week last past.
