- The people request that they be granted their estate and suffered to have their mayor and bailiffs which they have had from time out of memory, as the treasurer has lately taken their franchise into the king's hand and deposed the mayor and bailiffs.
- Nature of endorsement
- The king has granted that they have a mayor just as before, providing that the mayor come to the Exchequer and there make an oath as others do, saving all actions which the king is able to have in the future.
