- Newerk requests that the king will order of his grace to the treasurer and chamberlains under the privy seal that he is able to be served of the remainder of the payment due to him for his wages as the treasurer will not pay him without a new order. The king's father was bound to him in a sum for the wages and he has sued for a long time for this and is impoverished, and has received part payment from the archbishop of York and the bishop of Norwich.

- The petition is dated to c. 1327-c. 1345 as the petition refers to the late king, the king's father, and the hand seems appropriate for this date. The guard notes suggest 1278 but the hand and diplomatic are certainly not right for a petition of that date.
