Nature of request
Copy of a writ of Edward III to Scrope and his colleagues, justices assigned, stating that the Poles had exhibited a petition at the present parliament concerning the office of gauger of wines which had been granted to them for life by letters patent of the king, and ordering that they call before them Gauger, who now holds the office, and view what he has of the office, and view the letters of the Poles, and do what by right in this part ought to be done.
