Nature of request
Letter of the Dean and Chapter of York to the king on the matter of the divorce of William and Lucy Latimer.1)
Nature of endorsement
Let it be shown to the king that if it pleases the king that the archbishop of York is able sue the business just as it pertains to the court Christian in pure law, notwithstanding the letters of the king under the privy seal of the king for the taking of the body of the same Lucy etc.2) The king has said his will on this business to the archbishop.
