Latymer requests that she is able to be at her free will to sue the business of her divorce at the common law, as for her soul and by the command of the late archbishop she proceeded with a divorce in court Christian because her and her husband were related within the prohibited degree, which thing is accomplished in the court, but her husband has sued a writ to the sheriff of York to have her taken wherever she is in his bailiwick and delivered to him, and for all those aiding and counselling her to be taken, whereby her suit is delayed in peril of her soul.

The petition is dated to 1304 as the order to the sheriff to take and restore her to her husband dates to 1 March 1304 and the letter enclosed with the petition dates to 9 June 1305, the petition dating to shortly after that (CCR 1302-7, p. 126; SC 8/324/E641).
