The prior and monks request that the justices hearing their plea against the prior of Breamore for the advowson of the church of Brading be commanded to do right to them according to the record of their plea notwithstanding the charter of the king's father and the confirmation of the king. The prior and monks brought a bill to the parliament held in the quindene of Hilary at Westminster and were told to purchase a writ, but the prior of Breamore answered that he had been granted the advowson by charter and confirmation of the king and his father to which the justices told the prior and monks to speak to the king.
