Holm requests that his church is not dismembered, it lying in the fee of the king, and is his advowson, as in a plea between the prior of Carlisle and the petitioner's predecessor, it was agreed that Wytton should pay the prior annually from his tithes the sum of 30 shillings, but that they had no authority for this to be done in perpetuity.

If the bishop has ordained otherwise what ought not to be done, then he should defend himself according to what he ought to do by right.
