Nature of request
Letters patent of Edward I to Abingdon, [...] and Raleigh reciting the complaints made by the abbot of Buckland in his petition concerning the damage of his woods and other property, and commanding them to hold an inquisition into this and return it before the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer without delay. Order to the sheriff to empanel a jury for this inquisition.
Nature of endorsement
By the chancellor ... because Kirkby who was afterwards assigned with the aforesaid Richard is not able to do this, thus the treasurer ordered.
