[The petition is badly faded in its upper portions, so that the full details are not recoverable].Espeye states that he charged a ship with cloth and other merchandise and [...] and the people were disseised of all their goods and taken and imprisoned in Lincoln castle where 8 of them died of hunger and sickness by the default of Brincle, and when they were delivered by command of the king, their goods were not, and as it is customary in England that their goods are delivered with their bodies, Espeye requests their delivery.
