- The petition dates to 1400-6, since the £20 yearly granted to Fox from the custom and subsidy of wools, hides and wool-fells in port of Newcastle in 1400 was cancelled in February 1406 when the King granted him the same from the issues of Cumberland (CPR 1399-1401, p. 359).
