Nature of request
The executors request payment of the debts due to the Countess of Aumale for goods and chattels taken by the King's escheators and ministers to his use after her death.
Nature of endorsement
The Treasurer and barons of the Exchequer should have a writ of Chancery ordering them to examine the deeds, rolls and memoranda concerning the Countess's goods and chattels taken to the King's use, their value and which executors have been paid or granted allowance, and to assign to the executors what the King owes them in compensation for the whole sum. Afterwards the King assigned the executors all debts which the abbot and convent of Furness owed him and money which Birkeby and Hugh son of Reginald le Porter owed him. And other debts would be assigned if they were owed more, and a writ made thereon.

The petition dates to 1307, since in the July 1307 order to pay the executors £673 3s 4½d in accordance with the petition it is stated that the petition was presented at the Parliament held at Carlisle (CCR 1302-7, p. 518).
