Nature of request
Drayton requests remedy and restitution of his land because, when he was underage and a ward of Edward I, the approvers in the forest of Rockingham enclosed the land belonging to his manor in the forest and arrented it to John de Drayton. The arrented land is at a place called Prescroft in his manor, but the approvers returned that the land is at a place called Lund, which is not in his manor.
Nature of endorsement
There should be an inquisition in the presence of the justice's lieutenant or the steward into all the things contained in the petition, which inquisition should be returned in Chancery and justice done.
