English monks of the Cluniac order.

Nature of request
The English monks of the Cluniac order request remedy in three matters.1) Priors will not render account for goods received.2) They will not admit English clerks to the order but only ignorant local boys.3) They state that an English monk will never be prior.1)
Nature of endorsement
Before the King.2) The King does not intend that it be so. And when it is confirmed to him the petition should be granted to them.
Note
The petition probably dates to before 1320 since the endorsement is in Latin.
