[The right side of this petition is missing.]Rees ap Gruffudd ap Hywel requests that the king order the Justice of South Wales or his lieutenant to restore him to certain lands in South Wales, granted to him by charter by the king's father along with the lordship of Narberth. He was ousted by Mortimer, and although he was re-granted these lands after Mortimer's death, he has not been able to recover possession of Amgoed and Peuliniog.

A writ to the justice to enquire into this matter was issued on 1 February 1333, probably in response to this petition (Cal. Inq. Misc., 1307-49, p.326). The lands, which can be identified from the related documents, formed a third part of the lordship of St Clear's, granted to the petitioner in 1322 along with Narberth.
