- The King's escheator in Staffordshire requests remedy because Margaret, widow of John de Cobham, recently died seised of the manor of Chartley in fee tail and of the manor of Wrockwardine in chief, both of which are held of the King, after whose death Pole entered the manor of Chartley, claiming that it was held of the Prince of Chester, but the escheator seised the same manor into the King's hand, but then Pole seised it into the Prince's hand telling the escheator that if he seised it again he would be beaten by the people of Cheshire. The manors were in the King's hand in Lutteley's time and he has answered to the King for their issues.
