Wyhtnet requests that the King grant a charter of pardon to her son John who was falsely indicted of stealing goods and chattels worth 100s from Smith's house at Alweston and a horse and 20s from Schoyre's house at Sherborne, for which he has been imprisoned at Dorchester. John, who has often served in the King's wars overseas, is a clerk, and has married a widow, will otherwise be condemned to death in the bishop's prison.
