Nature of request
William Raymond de Caumond states that he had asked the king to give Manyon, his companion, the lands belonging to the Lady of Tiran, the king's rebel, and the king did not want to grant it to him. He now asks that he might have £12 sterling annually for term of life from the bailiwick of Castel Amouroux in Agenais, which is currently in the hands of the French, in compensation for his service to the king and his losses in that service.
