Nature of request
Devot, Lord of Doazit, states that he has served the king well and loyally in this last war, and is still ready to serve. He requests lordship in Doazit and in all the other places he holds in the bailiwick of Saint-Sever, holding this lordship of the king for certain services. He also asks that the Constable of Bordeaux might be ordered to pay him the money owed to him for his wages - and Oliver de Ingham will attest to his good behaviour.
Nature of endorsement
Coram rege.And be [it known] that his good behaviour and good ability to serve well is attested.Concerning the first article: of the lord king at the next parliament, before the great council.With regard to his wages: the Constable of Bordeaux is to be ordered to give satisfaction to him as far as he conveniently can for those things that are owing to him on account.
