Nature of request
Brunet Emeryk states that in the last war in Gascony he lost all the movable goods, rents and possessions he had in Mirambeau in Saintonge, and also his lodgings, which were burnt and destroyed. He requests the guard of the Porte de la Tour in Bordeaux castle, with the emoluments pertaining to that, and also that he might be lent a particular house belonging to the king in Blaye, which is decaying and not used for anything, for a period of ten years.

With regard to the guard of the gate, it is granted to another to whom the king does not wish to do wrong.With regard to the houses, he is to have what he wants of the king's grace.
