Nature of request
Otto de Castellione states that he is in possession of the house of Gavaudun in the diocese of Agen, with all its rights and appurtenances, and has long held it in peace. He requests letters maintaining him in this and in his other possessions, and granting him the king's special protection, protecting him and his possessions from violence and oppressions, and restoring him to his previous state if he should suffer any. He also requests the king's sergeants if he requests them and if it is appropriate; and that letters containing these commands should be sent to the seneschals of Gascony and the Agenais, and to other officials.
Nature of endorsement
He is to be given a protection to last until the king thinks it should be revoked.
