Full description and record details

Reference
SC 8/285/14214
Date
[? c. 1327-? c. 1335]
Description
Petitioners
Guiscard (Guiscart) de Camond (Caumont).
Name(s)
de Camond (Caumont), Guiscard (Guiscart)
Addressees
King and council.
Places mentioned
[Gascony, France].
Nature of request
Guiscard de Camond asks that the Constable of Bordeaux might be ordered to account with him and to pay him what is due to him for his wages and for compensation for horses lost in the war.
Nature of endorsement
The Constable of Bordeaux is to be ordered to account with him and to pay him what is found from the account to be due to him, as soon as he properly can.
Note
There are instructions to pay Guiscard de Camond for his wages on m. 12 of C 61/66 (6 June 28 Edward III (1354)), but this seems to be too late for the hand. From the content and the similarity of the dorse to SC 8/285/14206 and SC 8/285/14212, this petition would seem rather to date from the early years of the reign of Edward III.
