William, Lord of Caumont, states that because of the war, the French have occupied all his lands and rents in Caussens in the Agenais and elsewhere, and asks that he might have compensation at Saint-Macaire or in the surrounding country.
Nature of endorsement
The king has ordained that he will swiftly send some great men with full power to do the things that are suitable for him and for his subjects; and the king will order them that, when they have informed themselves on his losses, they are to give him that consideration that is fitting and that can reasonably suffice.
