Nature of request
Auger de Podenx makes two requests:1) He states that he has lost his houses, rents and goods because of the war between the king's father and the King of France, and he, his wife, his children and his household do not have anywhere to live or any means of support. He asks that the Constable of Bordeaux might be ordered to pay him the wages due to Peter de Lyer and Bertran de Baillentz from the time of the king's grandfather, or that he might have some bailiwick where he can have an assignment for this sum.2) He asks that he might have the mill of Asgusan in aid of his sustenance until he has recovered his losses and damages.

Note
The instructions to the Seneschal and Constable on m.9 of C 61/45 are dated 2 March 7 Edward III (1333), and are in response to a petition from Auger that, although he was granted the mill for three years from 29 September 3 Edward III (1329), the Seneschal and Constable removed him two months later. This would appear to be the petition that resulted in that original grant.
